3 Idiots Actor Akhil Mishra Dies in Accident; Wife Suzanne Bernert Says: ‘My Heart is Broken, My Second Half is Gone’

Actor Akhil Mishra, popularly known for the role of librarian Dubey in Aamir Khan’s film 3 Idiots, has passed away. ETimes TV exclusively learned about his shocking death.

According to sources, his wife and actress Suzanne Bernert was in Hyderabad for a photo shoot when the incident happened. She immediately ran back when she heard the news. Allegedly, the 58-year-old actor was working in his kitchen and slipped.

His body was sent for an autopsy and his wife Suzanne has been in shock ever since. She made all the preparations and preparations for the cremation. Suzanna shared: ‘My heart is broken, my second half is gone.’

Speaking of actors, Akhil has also participated in various TV shows like Bhanwar, Uttaran (Umed Singh Bundela), Udaan, Criminal Investigation, Shrimaan Shrimati, Bharat Ek Koj, Rajani and many others.

His film work includes Don, Well Don Abba, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and more. He gained wide recognition due to his short but memorable performance as librarian Dubey in”3 Idiots” with Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor Khan, R Madhavan, Boman Irani and others. He also made a name for himself by playing the character Umed Singh Bundela in the popular show “Uttaran”.

Akhil married German actress Suzanne Bernert on February 3, 2009. They later got married in a traditional ceremony on September 30, 2011. Their professional cooperation included working together on the film “Kram” and the television series”Mera Dil Dewaana” (Doordarshan), as well as sharing the stage. In 2019, the couple collaborated on a short film called “Majnu ki Juliet”, in which Mishra not only starred, but also wrote and directed.
