David Beckham recently reflected on how his wife Victoria Beckham supported him in the filming of his new documentary series with Netflix Beckham, which takes an in-depth look at his professional career and personal life.
She left me like that, quite honestly, he told Timenow of his participation in the series at the premiere on October 3 in London. She is obviously very supportive, as she always has been throughout our marriage and our time together. But she knew that this is my thing, but obviously it’s our thing, because it’s also about our family and our life together. .
He continued: But she was busy doing her thing and let me do it.
The retired football player also shared how the scope of the series changed during the filming process, noting that after a meeting with director Fisher Stevens, it became clear that they had the opportunity to plunge into his life.
I had an idea of what this documentary would look like, David explained, and then we did the first interview and he said, ‘Ok, we need to change this. So I thought I would do two or three interviews, and then it became something completely different.
The 48-year-old continued: ‘We sat down and filmed for fifty hours and talked about every moment of my career. Every moment of my life. And so I said, I will do it once. and I will do it right.’
And although the documentary series touches on difficult topics for the couple, including rumors about an affair that David faced in 2004, David and Victoria certainly supported each other throughout the process.
In fact, David and Victoria, who got married in 1999 and share sons Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 21, and Cruz, 18, and daughter Harper, 12; they showed their support and love after the premiere
For her part, the former Spice Girls member shared a picture of her and David with their children, as well as Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Peltz and Romeo’s girlfriend Mia Regan. David also shared some photos from the night, one of which showed him and Victoria dancing together.
I still make her laugh with my dance 26 years later, he was writing next to the laughing and crying emoji. I love you @victoriabeckham and thank you for being there for dad last night, kids. I’m sorry about Dad’s movements.
