What is the Dragon Ball Magic anime about?
According to information from specialists on topics related to the Dragon Ball franchise, such as SupaChronicles, DBHype and EmperorBigD( as their Twitter accounts emphasize), Dragon Ball Magic will be a completely new story that will not continue with what happened in the tournament of power in Dragon Ball Super. In fact, this new anime will have as a reference Dragon Ball GT, a third-party project that is not considered canon in the story of Akira Toriyama .
Taking into account this inspiration, Goku can be seen in the new series in the form of a child accompanied by the eastern Kaioshin, also in a children’s version. Both characters appear in this way thanks to the work of a demon who cast some kind of spell or curse on them. During the plot, Goku and Shin have to travel to several planets to find the villain and defeat him, but not before they encounter a number of obstacles on their way.
In this new adventure you will not be alone, as you will be accompanied by two completely new characters, as well as the vast majority of those who will appear in the anime. However, it is not excluded that some classic characters can also take part in the story.

When is the release date of Dragon Ball Magic?
At the moment there is no exact date for its official launch; however, it is known that its premiere will take place in the first half of 2024 , so we will be able to see how the iconic character returns sooner rather than later.
Regarding his animation, it is clarified that in addition to Toriyama, there will also be Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru and Aya Komaki . Nakatsuru will be the character designer and continues his legacy in the franchise after working on multiple episodes of Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super. For her part, Komaki, although she was never part of the saga development team, was the director of another famous anime like One Piece for about 70 episodes.
How to watch Dragon Ball Magic ONLINE
Dragon Ball Magic, unlike previous installments based on the stories of Goku and Company, will not be a TV series, since its broadcast is designed exclusively for streaming. Therefore, it is assumed that the launch will be made ONLINE through Crunchyroll, a platform specializing in this type of animated content.
Regarding the length of its episodes, Magic should have 14 or 15 episodes, with the high expectation that it will be longer and that each will have an estimated length between 30 and 45 minutes .
