If you’ve ever seen Hell’s Kitchen with Gordon Ramsay, you probably see the celebrity chef as a Quite aggressive character.
Although I learned today that the infamous “idiot sandwich” moment was actually a joke from a James Corden segment, Gordon is known for yelling obscenities at restaurant owners and kitchen staff he visits as part of the show – whose premise is to help struggling establishments get back on their feet.
You may be surprised to learn from his wife Tana that the real Gordon is actually “quite sensitive” and has “gained more empathy” with age.
Speaking to People about her long-term husband, Tana admitted, “I remember when I met him – and I was actually with one of his friends – and I said, ‘Oh my God, he’s so arrogant,’ because it’s always his voice that you hear. … He was always the one who annoyed everyone. In this regard, he has not changed at all. It only became more obvious. But at the same time, believe it or not, he is incredibly sensitive – he cries. ”
Presumably, it is preferable to be touch-sensitive and /or empathetic to have a happy marriage – just as Gordon and Tana have been for about 26 years.
The two share five children: Megan, 25, twins Jack and Holly, 23, Matilda “Tilly,” 21, and Oscar, 4.
Chronically online People like me may have already seen this softer side of Gordon in the cute and funny TikToks he recently shot with daughter Tilly – including one in which he “confesses” to stealing the recipes of fellow chef Jamie Oliver, a couple in which he submits to “dad reviews” and many in which they dance together. Ah!
