The protagonist of the story, Yuji Itadori, was a student of Sugisawa High School, where he was very popular due to his physical strength, endurance and athletic abilities. However, he never showed interest in joining sports clubs, although he was always asked to replace absent players.
Raised by his grandfather, Yuji keeps the two messages he told him on his deathbed to himself: Always help others and die surrounded by people. And he puts his first lesson into practice when the occult club of his friends lures curses to school. This happens when you release a mysterious talisman in the form of a rotten finger. In order to protect his classmate Megumi Fushiguro and the others present, Yuji finally eats the bizarre finger.
This leads to the fact that he becomes the bearer of Ryomen Sukuna, one of the most powerful curses in history. Satoru Gojo, one of the teachers of the school of witchcraft, decides to take Yuji as a student and teach him how to channel his cursed energy, despite the disapproval of his superiors. While he wants to exorcise and kill Yuji, Gojo suggests postponing this and training his new abilities and powers. The goal is for him to consume Sukuna’s remaining fingers and end the curse on the world.

Itadori Yuji’s biological parents are supposedly normal people, Kaori Itadori and Jin Itadori. However, the twist in the story comes when they realize that this is the same Kaori that was adopted by Kenjaku, the main antagonist of the series.
During his time of possessing Kaori’s body, Kenjaku gave birth to Yuji, which is the cause of his superhuman physique. His reasons for this are unknown.

Without a doubt, Yuji’s most valuable skill is his ability to learn. This may seem like an exaggeration, but you have to keep in mind that Yuji is a newbie who has learned everything he has in a few months. He can deal with curses of a special class from head to toe with a little help, and this is mainly due to how well he can absorb new concepts and translate them into his fights.
A good example of this is how he learned the Black Lightning, his strongest attack. Conceptually, Black Flash is nothing groundbreaking. You just need to release an immense amount of cursed energy in a very, very short time. In practice, this is a feat only possible by a handful of wizards, with even characters like Gojo unable to command them. However, Yuji is able to learn it soon after learning about mechanics from Aoi Todo during his fight against Hanami, a spirit of the special class.
Due to his incredible natural talent, Satoru Gojo believes that he is one of the few people in the world who can surpass him in strength and become the new mainstay for the Jujutsu community.
Mandatory Vows
Yuji has a contract with Sukuna that allows the curse to use his body for a full minute when he says the string of words, but he is not aware of this, since the second part of the vow was that he would completely forget about the agreement.
