Meghan Markle is preventing the return of Prince Harry to the UK, who “desperately” wants to return. A source claimed that the Duke is increasingly interested in returning to the UK, but his wife does not share the feeling.
Speaking to the Sunday Times, the source said: “Having nowhere doesn’t help much. There are friends and hotels, but I know that they would like to have somewhere.
“There is work here in terms of charities and there would be opportunities in the future where he would like to be here a little more.”
The couple had previously lived at Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate, which was given to them by the late Queen. However, earlier this year they received an eviction notice and subsequently returned the keys to King Charles.
During his last visit to the UK, Prince Harry is said to have stayed in a hotel after being denied a room at Windsor Castle. The source added: “If they could have stayed at Frogmore, they would have done it – it was the perfect facility for them.
“The last time he was there, he did a big clean-up and was optimistic, but very sad.”
It has also been reported that Prince Harry now has to “cancel” whenever he wants to visit his father, King Charles, and stay at a royal estate. That demand came after he was denied a room at Windsor Castle earlier this month.
