Netflix’s sex education may be in its fourth and final season, but now fans can own a piece of the show’s history. For 1.5 million this is so.
The real house, which served as the residence for adolescent sex therapist Otis Milburn (played by Asa Butterfield) and his sex therapist Jean Milburn, has hit the market. The dreamy estate in the UK, known as The Cottage, is located on four and a half hectares of green space in Symonds Yat in the Wye Valley, which is located right on the border of England and Wales and has been designated as an area of Outstanding Natural beauty.
Before its passage through the British cult series, the red and white residence dates back to 1912, when it was built as a fisherman’s pavilion in the Norwegian style. The current owner excavated the slope more than 20 years ago, in 2002, and since then the site has undergone a massive renovation. In total, the 3,100 square meter area consists of five bedrooms and three bathrooms. The latest updates include new plumbing and electrical systems, a new roof and an individually painted kitchen. The conservatory has also been expanded.
The fact that this property is so well-known only adds to the appeal of an incredibly rare opportunity to own a spectacular home, says James Toogood, office manager at Knight Frank Bristol, in a press release.
In addition to the charming house, the estate has two greenhouses, an orchard and a summer cottage. The marketing material indicates that there is an old chapel at the top of the driveway, which will be offered for sale even after separate negotiations.
