Alcantara finished the campaign with a record of 7-12 and an ERA of 4.14, numbers below the standards of the Dominican, who won the National League Cy Young Award in the 2022 season.
The 28-year-old right-hander finished his work in September.23 and missed the Marlins’ wildcard game against the Philadelphia Phillies, and last Wednesday, when the Miami team was eliminated, he told reporters he had an important decision to make about his future.
