Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are working on a plan to raise their two daughters together.
While the Game of Thrones star and the singer are working out the details of their divorce, one of the main points of contention has been whether their daughters Willa, 3, and their 14-month-old daughter, whose initials have been revealed as DMJ. They will live in the USA, where their father is from, or in the United Kingdom, their mother’s home country. And after agreeing to not move their daughters out of the New York metropolitan area as part of a mediation at the end of September, the estranged couple reached a more detailed preliminary agreement.
According to legal documents, the E! News of September 10, Due to the ongoing and productive nature of the mediation, Joe and Sophie have agreed to evenly divide the next few months among themselves in order to reach an amicable resolution of all issues.
And this agreement, which is valid until the beginning of January 2024, includes how you will divide custody during the holidays. Sophie will have her daughters between October 9 and 21, during which time she can take them to the UK, then Joe will have both girls by November 2. The actress will be in custody until November 22, and Joe will have the girls on Thanksgiving and until December 16, before spending time with Sophie again until January 7, and the 27-year-old will have custody over Christmas and New Year.
This temporary custody agreement, which is in force until a final settlement, comes after Sophie filed a lawsuit against the Jonas Brothers member last month, claiming that the 34-year-old singer prevents her daughters, who are US and British citizens, from returning to their usual place of residence in England by keeping their passports.
The Revenge star’s lawsuit claimed jurisdiction under the International Child Abduction Remedies Act, a representative of Point Joe condemned.
The girls were not abducted, the spokesperson told E! Messages at the time of submission. After being in Joe’s care for the past three months with the consent of both parties, the girls are currently with their mother. Sophie only makes this claim in order to move the divorce proceedings to the UK and permanently remove the girls from the USA. Joe’s wish is for Sophie to reconsider her hard legal position and take a more constructive and private approach. Her only concern is the well-being of her daughters.
Joe had officially filed for divorce from Sophie on September 5th and the two shared a joint statement on Instagram the following day.
