Munich-based content company Telepool has reconfigured the executive team of its worldwide sales arm, Global Screen , in response to the departure of former head of sales and acquisitions Julia Weber .
Brianne Bonney was named head of TV sales, joining Klaus Rasmussen, who will further expand the feature film division, and Ulrike Schröder, who will be responsible for acquiring high-quality content.
Bonney will take up his new post on November 1.
Telepool said Bonney, born in the U.S. and based in Munich, will lead Global Screen TV’s distribution team and also directly lead TV sales, especially for English-speaking territories such as the U.K., U.S. and Canada.
“We are delighted to have been able to recruit Brianne as the new head of TV sales for Global Screen,” said Telepool CEO Yoko Higuchi-Zitzmann.
It will continue to expand global sales of TV shows and streaming. Our focus here is the growth of international series and formats, both in acquisition and sales.
Bonney previously held senior sales positions at Bavaria Media International, Red Arrow International and Turkey’s Global Agency.
His sales experience spans all genres, including TV series, scripted and unscripted, entertainment and scripted formats, and feature films.
Global Screen will be at Mipcom next month with a slate of spy drama Davos 1917 , documentary about the terrorist attack at the 1972 Munich Olympics , Munich ’72 , the popular Seaside crime series and black comedy The Undertaker .
Weber took over as head of sales and acquisitions in January 2021 after previously heading sales and theatrical distribution at Global Screen.
Munich-based Telepool, which is owned by Westbrook Inc. from Will and Jada Pinkett Smith and to a group of investors led by director Marc Forster, praised Weber for his accomplishments at the company.
With her talent, charisma and excellent taste for international titles, Julia Weber has successfully shaped Global Screen for many years and represented the Telepool brand perfectly for all our partners around the world, said Higuchi-Zitzmann.
