Tokko follows Shindo Ranmaru, who continues to dream of a girl with a bloody sword and considers her the murderer of his parents. On the day of his graduation, he meets Rokujo Sakura, a girl he saw in a dream.
It turns out that they are both assigned to Tokko: a Mobile Special Purpose Research Unit. Shindo is trying to solve the mystery of the death of his parents and the mass murder of residents of his hometown Machida. However, he soon discovers mysterious creatures that threaten to take over all of Tokyo.
4. Yamishibai: Japanese Ghost Stories
This horror anime series is about a mysterious narrator with a yellow mast who appears at dusk when children gather. He tells his young audience sinister tales based on Japanese urban legends.
He adds visuals to his already insane narrative, including kamishibai, a Japanese paper-scrolling device. There are currently seven seasons, each of which tells several ghost stories from Japan.
