The Oscar-winning actor was first seen with Tiffany Chen in August 2021, after breaking up with his ex-wife Grace Hightower in November 2018.
While De Niro and Chen first sparked dating rumors with their PDA-filled outing, the two met years earlier when they were filming a movie together in 2015. Chen, a martial arts teacher, had a role in the project The Intern with De Niro.
Despite their various European vacations and dinners together, neither De Niro nor Chen have spoken publicly about the status of their relationship.

Chen and de Niro were recently photographed together as they left Giorgio Baldi’s restaurant in Santa Monica in March 2023. They were photographed alongside Harvey Keitel and Billy Crystal dining with them, as photos obtained by the Daily Mail show.
An eyewitness at Giorgio Baldi told PEOPLE that the group had a long dinner during the week and stayed at the restaurant until just before closing time. Robert and Tiffany were sitting next to each other. He is a regular at the restaurant and knew how to order his favorites. They looked happy together, the eyewitness continued.
She is very supportive of De Niro’s career
Amid the news that the actor has welcomed his seventh child, a source told PEOPLE that the actor and Chen live together in Los Angeles, where De Niro has a busy work schedule.

She was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy
After giving birth to her baby with De Niro, Chen experienced a frightening postpartum health complication and was eventually diagnosed with Bell’s palsy. She spoke about her experience during an interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings in July.
When I went home, I felt that my tongue looked strange, she said.
It felt a little tingling, just started to go a little numb. And then I realized that my face was strange. I didn’t know how I felt. It seemed strange.

When I got home, it was like everything was falling on itself. My face melted into me, Chen explained. And then, a week after the birth, everything happened. I called my doctor and tried to eat.
She continued, I put a fork of food in my mouth and everything came out. I couldn’t eat. And then I started to offend. So I said, ‘There’s really something going on here.’
Chen was immediately told, ‘Go straight to the hospital.'[The hospital] admitted me. And I lost all facial functions as soon as I went to the hospital, she said.
She celebrated Robert De Niro’s 80th birthday
De Niro turned 80 in August. January 17, 2023 – and Chen was by his side to celebrate his big milestone. In addition, some of Hollywood’s biggest names were present in honor of his special day.
The actor’s family and closest friends came to New York to enjoy a special dinner. Notable guests included Paul McCartney and his wife Nancy Shevell, Francis Ford Coppola,George Lucas, Christopher Walken, Martin Scorsese, Bette Midler and Jane Krakowski, among others.
